The present invention relates to the preparation of functionalized organomonoalkoxysilanes, more particularly halogenated organomonoalkoxy-silanes, these compounds being useful as synthesis intermediates in organic chemistry. The starting product employed is a haloorganodialkoxysilane and/or -trialkoxysilane, which is reacted with an organometallic compound in the presence of a solvent (S1) and of a heavy solvent (S2), this organometallic compound being suitable for substituting the organooxy radicals by organic radicals.
