PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-split roller bearing having a long rolling fatigue service life, by reducing vibration and noise, by holding circularity, and by eliminating a step height of a raceway surface in a joining place of two outer ring divided bodies. SOLUTION: The inner periphery has an outer ring 1 forming the raceway surface 1a of a roller 2, and this outer ring 1 is divided into two divided bodies 1<SB>1</SB>and 1<SB>2</SB>juxtaposed in the circumferential direction. A recessed part 7 is arranged in a part of the inner periphery including a divided place of the outer ring 1 to the raceway surface 1a. An embedding member 8 composed of a lubricant having a solid property, resin and a soft metallic material having hardness lower than a constituting material of the outer ring 1, or a material having a modulus of longitudinal elasticity larger than the constituting material of the outer ring 1, or a material having a friction coefficient smaller than the constituting material of the outer ring 1, or a material superior in abrasion resistance more than the constituting material of the outer ring 1, is fixedly arranged on both divided bodies 1<SB>1</SB>and 1<SB>2</SB>in this recessed part 7. Or a surface treatment film composed of a metallic compound such as diamond-like carbon or chrome, titanium and tungsten, is arranged in a part of the raceway surface 1a including the divided place of the outer ring 1.
