PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demodulate a received OFDM signal more reliably. SOLUTION: A Doppler frequency detection section 106 uses the OFDM signal supplied from an A/D conversion section 103 to calculate the Doppler frequency of the OFDM signal for supplying to an equivalent circuit 108. The equivalent circuit 108 extracts an SP from the OFDM signal supplied from an FFT operation section 105 and uses the extracted SP to calculate the estimate of transmission path characteristics interpolated in the directions of time and frequency and that interpolated in the direction of frequency. When the Doppler frequency is not less than a threshold supplied from a changeover circuit 107, the equivalent circuit 108 uses the estimate interpolated in the direction of frequency to correct the OFDM signal. When the Doppler frequency is not more than the threshold, the estimate interpolated in the directions of time and frequency is used to correct the OFDM signal, which can be applied to a receiver receiving the OFDM signal.
