PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of improving user's convenience by displaying the information of another program on a different channel immediately before start of broadcast on a screen without requiring an input operation by the user, and to provide a broadcast display method. SOLUTION: This broadcast receiver 100-1 is provided with: a receiving section 120 for receiving broadcast signals having a plurality of channels; an operation section 160 corresponding to a channel switching means for switching a plurality of channels to be received in the receiving section 120 to select a predetermined channel; a program table analyzing section 170 and a storage section 150 corresponding to an information acquiring means for acquiring program-related information including channels, program broadcast time, program titles and description of program contents; and a control section 210 for judging that the start time of a program to be subsequently broadcasted on a channel other than the channel currently received by the receiving section 120 is approaching on the basis of the program-related information and the present time, and controlling so that the information of the program to be subsequently broadcasted is outputted on a display section.
