PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a desired channel by switching to the desired channel selected, by a channel switching natural operation through pressing a channel key from among each of channels whose channel numbers in a tuner section have been displayed and which can be viewed and listened. SOLUTION: It is detected by a control processor 6 that sequential switching operations of receiving channels in the tuner section 2 have started and have been completed. During the sequential switching operations of the receiving channels, video signals for multiple screen pages which contain thumbnails of videos of received channels in the tuner section 2 and thumbnails of videos of the already received channels in a memory 7 are formed and are used for selecting a channel. Then, the control processor 6 switches output video signals of a video processor 3 from the received channel video signals in the tuner section 2 to the video signals for the multiple screen pages to display the multiple screen pages. Besides, by a channel selection operation immediate after the sequential switching period has been completed, the output video signals of the video processor 3 are returned from the video signals for the multiple screen pages to the video signals of the received channels in the tuner section 2 to set the video signals as received outputs of the selected channel.
