<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of replacing parts, even during an assembling process, and being made compact with high waterproofness and without requiring a strict gap control between a gear housing and a rack housing. <P>SOLUTION: A bearing supporting member 20 fixed with a bearing 21 for supporting an output shaft 32 in a non-movable state in the axial direction is internally fitted in the gear housing 24 integrally assembled with a torque sensor part 3, a deceleration part, input/output shafts 31 and 32, and a motor 23. The bearing supporting member 20 is fixed to be non-movable in the axial direction by a snap ring 29 fitted in an annular groove 24b provided in the gear housing 24. A distance n from the annular groove 24b to an end part of the gear housing 24 to which the rack housing 8 is joined is set to be smaller than a depth s of the annular groove 24b.
