The method and the device relate to the attachment of packaged drinking straws to beverage containers, e.g. foil bags. Using the method and the device provides protection of the cutting device from soiling with glue, due to which a stable and highly efficient process is performed with long durability of the cutting blade itself. This is done by providing glue (20) along the length of a band (1) with pockets (2), in glue zones (12) separated from one another by glue-free zones (15), then an operation of cutting (6) is performed of at least one pocket (2) from the band (1), and the pocket (2) is stuck with glue (20) to the vessel (3). The device for sticking at least one pocket (2) onto a foil bag (3) for beverages comprises a cutting appliance (5) for cutting the pockets (2) from the band (1), and a pressing appliance (7) for sticking the pockets (2) onto the foil bags (3). An appliance (17, 31) is provided for applying the glue (20) on the glue zones (12) of the band (1) with the pockets, which are separated by glue-free zones (15). |
