A device cutting off the power of a battery is provided to cut off or connect the current between a terminal cable and a vehicle ground cable by a pressure plate and a cylinder. A device cutting off the power of a battery comprises a hydraulic switch(500) placed between a terminal of a battery(100) and a vehicle ground; and an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,200) connected to a battery and the hydraulic switch. The ECU cut off the connection between the terminal of battery and the vehicle ground by controlling the hydraulic switch.
