PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately synchronize each of eccentric shaft rotation mechanism in an easy and simple mechanism. SOLUTION: An image display device displaying an image by projecting coherent light emitting from a light source onto a screen face is provided, which is equipped with: a diffusion element disposed between the light source and the screen face; a plurality of eccentric shaft rotation mechanisms each having an eccentric shaft 52 linked to the diffusion element and a driving source 53 that rotates the eccentric shaft 52, and allowing the driving source 53 to rotate the eccentric shaft 52 to vibrate the diffusion element; and a positioning mechanism for adjusting relative positions of the plurality of eccentric shaft rotation mechanisms with respect to the diffusion element. The positioning mechanism comprises an eccentric state adjusting section 61 that adjusts an eccentric state of the eccentric shaft 52 to coincide in each eccentric shaft rotation mechanism, and an attaching position adjusting section 62 that moves and adjusts the attaching position of the driving source 63.
