A door step assembly for vehicles is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and to improve productivity, which results from a door step unit manufactured in one module, thereby assembling the door step assembly to a vehicle body through bolts. A door step assembly(1) for vehicles comprises: a door step unit(10) made of plastic synthetic resin and fixed to a vehicle body(105) using bolts(12); a lighting unit(20) fixed to the door step unit; a switch(52) to turn light on/off; a door opening detection sensor(54) electrically connected to the switch; and a power supply unit(40). The power supply unit makes the lighting unit on when the door is opened and makes the lighting unit off when the door is closed.
