A hydrogen tank protective device for fuel cell vehicles is provided to allow a damage preventive ball to seal a damage hole of a hydrogen tank in order to preventing hydrogen from leaking to the outside. A hydrogen tank protective device for fuel cell vehicles comprises a damage preventive member(100) installed inside a hydrogen tank. The hydrogen tank is installed in a rear frame of a fuel cell vehicle. The damage preventive member prevents high pressure hydrogen from leaking when the hydrogen tank is damaged. The damage preventive member consists of: a support member(110) installed inside the hydrogen tank; and a damage preventive ball(120) located in the upper part of the support member. The damage preventive ball moves to a damage hole according to the change of pressure when the hydrogen tank is damaged. The damage preventive ball seals the damage hole. The damage preventive ball consists of: a first damage preventive ball(122) made of soft materials; and a second damage preventive ball(124) made of hard materials.
