A delay replicated system and a method thereof for improving the convenience of a client even when guaranteeing the stability are provided to process the initial data update of a plurality of copies. A plurality of data servers stores files. A metadata server(100) stores metadata information. A client(200) obtains the information about the updatable file with reference to the metadata information. The client updates the file information in the data server storing the corresponding file among data servers. The metadata server transmits the original file to the data server storing an original file updated by the client with data servers without the original file.
