The present invention relates to a traffic information management system using a camera and a radar. The traffic information management system using a camera and a radar according to the present invention can: generate various and accurate pieces of traffic information by detecting video information and information on objects and object features from a radar signal by having a camera and a radar; remarkably enhance the accuracy of object detection by performing coordinate and time synchronization for a video object and a radar object and then by using a homography matrix which uses a random sample consensus (ransac) algorithm, thereby adjusting the synchronized video object and the radar object; preset and store HOG descriptors having different patterns by type such as vehicle, pedestrian, background and the like when detecting video object information; enhance the accuracy of object detection, and at the same time, detect a type of a detected object by detecting differences in patterns, which are generated by the HOG descriptors, for the object by using non-linear support vector machine (SVM) sorter using an RBF kernel; and display a real video, an unexpected situation tracking video and a virtual map through a traffic information user interface. Thereby, a user can simply and easily read traffic information. |
