A battery includes a pouch type case formed of a flexible material and the case has a bottom with a recess portion and a protrusion portion, an electrode assembly within the case, and a support member coupled to the recess portion and to the protrusion portion at the bottom of the case. The support member fixes shapes of the recess portion and the protrusion portion, and the support member is coupled to an outside of the case at the bottom of the case.

1. A battery, comprising:
a case formed of a moldable material in a form of a pouch, the case having a bottom portion including a recess portion and a protrusion portion; an electrode assembly within the case, the electrode assembly having a bottom surface on the bottom portion of the case; and a support member to support the bottom portion of the case and to fix shapes of the recess portion and the protrusion portion of the bottom portion of the case, the support member having a top surface on the bottom portion of the case, the top surface extending along the bottom surface of the electrode assembly, wherein the recess portion and the protrusion portion of the bottom portion of the case are arranged along the bottom surface of the electrode assembly and are between the bottom surface of the electrode assembly and the top surface of the support member.
