The present invention relates to a method for enabling an external device, which is to perform a linking function, to be efficiently set in an in-vehicle multimedia system and a vehicle performing the same. An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for controlling an in-vehicle multimedia system performing the linking function with a connected external device, which comprises the steps of: being connected to at least one external device; determining the number of connected external devices; if the determined external device is single, setting the one external device as a basic device which is to perform the linking function; if the determined external device is plural, displaying a pop-up window for enabling one among the plurality of the external devices to be selected; and setting the external device selected via the pop-up window as the basic device. |
