PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate by which a further reduction of impurities (by-product, catalyst, etc.) can be achieved.SOLUTION: The process for producing fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate is provided that comprises: an addition reaction step of producing a crude fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate containing fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate by adding alkylene oxide to fatty acid alkyl ester in the presence of an alkoxylation catalyst obtained by reacting a particular alkaline earth metal compound (B) and sulfuric acid (C) in a liquid dispersion medium (A); a flocculation step of producing an aggregate by mixing the crude fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate obtained in the addition reaction step, water and a flocculant; and a separation step of separating the fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate and the aggregate, and removing the aggregate.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
