EMBMS RESOURCE SHARING AMONG OPERATORS

A node in a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network that supports Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) is provided for broadcasting a content shared by two operators. The node receives the content from an upstream node in the LTE network. The content is identified by a service ID and a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) ID of a first operator. The node then transmits the content downstream in the LTE network in one or more broadcast streams towards users of the first operator and a second operator. The one or more broadcast streams are identified by the service ID, the first PLMN ID and the second PLMN ID.
