PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve color conversion for the input point of a color conversion object, without impairing the gamut of an output device.SOLUTION: For the target colorimetric value, the colorimetric value of a grid group used when calculating a device value and the weight of each grid are calculated. For a grid group used in the calculation at the time of color conversion for the colorimetric value of a color conversion object, determination is made whether or not it is out of the color gamut of the device, and calculation of color conversion is switched according to the determination results. When a grid out of the color gamut of the device is used for the interpolation calculation, the color conversion table is not used but the device value is calculated directly by using the color characteristic information of the device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
