PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength conversion element which inhibits occurrence of noise caused by wind noise, and to provide a luminaire and a projector.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a wavelength conversion element including: a substrate which may rotate around a rotary shaft; a hole provided in the substrate and into which the rotary shaft is inserted; and a disc shaped wavelength conversion layer provided on a surface of the substrate which is opposite to a side into which the rotary shaft is inserted, the wavelength conversion layer formed by an inorganic material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
