The invention relates to an electronic device which is inserted between a socket and an incandescent light bulb and is able to attenuate the power supplied by said incandescent light bulb. The invention also relates to a method for regulating the supply of energy from the incandescent light bulb without the need for electrical equipment for the installation thereof.
