The present invention relates to a tongs crane which has slab fall prevention equipment and, more specifically, to a tongs crane having slab fall prevention equipment capable of: preventing accidents caused by the fall of a slab (200) by the abrasion of a gripping shoe, the reverse rotation of a tong key, or all other unexpected cases; and preventing impact generated by the sudden release of an arm (120) and the damage of the tongs crane when the slab (200) falls down. To achieve the above, the slab fall prevention equipment (1) includes: a plurality of protectors (10) which supports the bottom of the slab (200) by being hidden in the arm (120) of the tongs crane or protruding toward the front end of the arm (120); a guide base (20) which is formed in the front end of each arm (120) in order to guide the protectors (10); a driving means (30) which enables the protectors (10) to be hidden or protrude; and a control means which operates the protectors (10) by controlling the driving means (30) just after the tongs crane grips the slab (200) and just before the gripped slab (200) reaches the ground. |
