<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the confidentiality of a confidential document even when the confidential document is printed with an image forming apparatus having a sample print function. <P>SOLUTION: The sample print function is a function for printing and outputting a page designated in a print job into another paper discharge tray different from a tray for main printing, so that a user can confirm the state of printing. When a request for sample print is made to print jobs in an execution queue, it decides whether or not a user has permitted to make the request for such the sample print while referring to a sample print permission setting table (step S55). If the user is permitted to make the request of sample print, a sample print instruction screen is displayed (step S57) to accept the request of sample print (step S58).
