<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint, as a more concrete usage, for a wind turbine tower wall section in relation to a fixed structure body including a limited closed periphery part and a very narrow and long rigid member to all lateral dimensions. <P>SOLUTION: A wind turbine tower (4) includes a first substantially tubular wall section (22) having a tapered edge (24); a second substantially tubular wall section (26), arranged substantially coplanar with the first wall section (22), having a flared edge (28) for seating against the tapered edge (24) of the first wall section (22); and at least one fastener (30) for securing the tapered edge (24) of the first wall section (22) to the flared edge (28) of the second wall section (26). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
