<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus which appropriately controls extraction of a face image of a person from video content data. <P>SOLUTION: A video processor 113 searches for a face area in a frame to be processed and when the face area is detected, the video processor 113 investigates whether a cutout range falls within the frame. If not fall within the frame, the video processor 113 cuts out a region in the frame and complements other regions by masking them in the peripheral color of a contour line of the face, for example.
