In distillation apparatus, suitable for the concentration of aqueous radio-active wastes, comprising a heater 16 a condenser 23 and a liquid-droplet separator 21, slugs of liquid are prevented from reaching the separator 21 by one or more corrugated plates 30 having perforations in the sloping slides. As shown, there are two corrugated plates disposed with their corrugations at right angles. The vapour passing through separator 21 contacts the condenser 23 from which the condensate drips into trough 24' and collects in well 27. |
