The invention relates to the safety means of motion in the points of intersection of railway line and road way. A protecting device of railroad crossing contains a plate located on the vertical wall at the level of the roadbed of motor road, and a drive of lifting of plate. The device contains guide posts and a system of block-roller mechanism. A vertical wall is installed with possibility of displacement in the vertical plane over mentioned guides, it is equipped with the switches of its end positions and it is connected by the aid of block-roller mechanism with the drive of lifting of plate. Increase of the reliability of operation with simultaneous simplification of design and decrease of metal content of fender is a technical result.
