<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reference information that is useful when any of a plurality of components making up an electronic device is replaced. <P>SOLUTION: The readers 11-21 of first to n-th component information management devices 10-20 installed in component production factories 1-2 for the first to n-th components of an imaging device, where the components making up the imaging device are are produced, are used to read ID numbers characteristic of the respective components, which numbers are stored in ID chips 80 attached to the respective components. Controllers 15-25 input pieces of component characteristic information about the components matching the ID numbers. The pieces of component characteristic information inputted are associated with the respective ID numbers read and are stored in respective storage devices 16-26. The pieces of component characteristic information stored can be referenced via a network externally from imaging device assembly information management devices 30-40 or the like installed for different assembly processes performed in an imaging device assembly factory 3 where the imaging device is assembled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
