The temperature regulator has a temperature controlled switch heated separately and independent of the storage heater temperature. The temperature controlled switch (4) is preheated to a point, where it does not quite interrupt the main heating circuit. The switch is operated by an additional independent heating current which is adjustable. When the switch interrupts the main heating circuit, only the preheating part of its heating current is switched off. The switch consists of a metal element preheated by a resistance(6) up to switch point. A second heating resistance(7) operates the switch.
