1,053,536. Anthraquinone dyes. L'OREAL. April 2, 1964 [April 2, 1963], No. 13715/64. Heading C4P. The invention comprises dyes of the formula wherein n is from 2 to 6 and R and R<SP>1</SP> are each alkyl radicals of 1-3 carbon atoms or together with the nitrogen atom form a saturated mononuclear heterocyclic radical, and their acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts. The dyes are made by heating #-chloro- or # bromoanthraquinone with an alkylene diamine of the formula in pyridine, and if desired treating the tertiary amine obtained with a quatemating agent. The dyes dye hair in yellow shades. In examples, 2 (# diethylaminoethylamino)-, 2 - (γ - di - ethylaminopropylamino)- and 2 - (# - morpholinoethylamino) anthraquinone are made and quaternated with dimethyl sulphate. |
