Unsatd. hydrocarbons prepd. by catalytic oxidising dehydrogenation of satd. cpds. are purified in particular to remove any acyclic acetylenic cpds. Unsatd. hydrocarbons (3.5-80 mol. %) are (pref. n-butene, butadiene-1,3), prepd. (pref. from butane and butene), at high temp. in the presence of 2-93 mol. % O2, catalysts and a halogen. Purifn. is effected at 16-66 degrees C and a manometric pressure of 7-14 bars, using an absorption oil comprising vinyl-cyclohexene. Liquid contg. the oil and unsatd. hydrocarbon is cooled to 38 degrees C, impurities are removed and the hydrocarbon separated off. |
