<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cadaverine, by which the cadaverine can stably industrially be produced with immobilized cells in high efficiency and in a high yield for a long period with the reduced consumption of energy without needing an organic solvent. <P>SOLUTION: Cells to whose surface layers a lysine decarboxylase is immobilized are produced so that the lysine decarboxylase contacts with an L-lysine salt in high efficiently, and then further entrapped and immobilized with κ-carrageenan gel. The immobilized cells are contacted with an L-lysine salt aqueous solution. The cadaverine can be produced in a high yield by using cells cultured also after entrapped and immobilized or by again adding vitamin B6 in the halfway of the reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
