<p>Pref. large-dia. skein is handled by a protector comprising a rigid piece at least as long as the skein width, and a band of elastic material which is hooked to the ends of the rigid piece and uniformly presses the coils and layers of yarn in the skein against the rigid piece. Pref. the piece has hooks at its two ends, on which the band is fixed.</p> |
