<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharger wherein the structure gives cooling effect, seizure of rolling bearings is prevented from occurring by application of lubricating oil containing no foreign matters, and resistance to the rotation of the rolling bearings is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The supercharger includes a housing 40, and a turbine shaft 41 supported by means of rolling bearings 10a, 10b in a center hole 43 in the housing 40. The lubricating oil is applied to the rolling bearings 10a, 10b by means of a lubricating oil tank 35 formed in the housing 40 and a cord 36 provided between the tank 35 and the rolling bearings 10a, 10b. The cord 36 comprises a bundle of plastic fibers having a tip end 36a which is frayed like fibers and brought into contact with the bearings 10a, 10b. By the capillarity of the cord 36, the lubricating oil in the tank 35 is supplied to the rolling bearings 10a, 10b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
