<p>In a stirrer assembly for the sealed insertion of a stirrer into a container, e.g. a glass flask or other laboratory container, the stirrer shaft passes through a tubular sleeve attached in sealing manner in the container opening, the sleeve is flexible over at least part of its length and is directly or indirectly in sealing contact with the stirrer shaft at a point removed from its connection to the container, the shaft being provided in the region outside the container with a drive assembly for the production of oscillating or rotary motion. The sleeve is pref. of PTFE.</p> |
