An apparatus for bordering mattresses, comprising two mattress bordering assemblies (3, 4), arranged at upper and at lower levels and provided with superimposed worktables being provided with mattress overturning devices (5, 9), a mattress distribution assembly (1) arranged upstream of the bordering assemblies (3, 4) to send the mattresses individually to the upper worktable or lower worktable, a chute (6) arranged at the output of the worktable of the upper assembly and inclined to convey the mattresses bordered by the upper assembly toward a receiving table (7), the chute comprising actuatable movable elements (76, 80), in order to allow the advancement of the mattresses from the upper worktable toward the receiving table (7), and an open position, mattress advancement means (58, 59, 60, 61) arranged below the chute (6) between the lower worktable and the receiving table (7) in order to move the mattresses that arrive from the lower bordering assembly (3) and transfer them onto the receiving table (7), a mattress overturning element (6, 7) which is functionally associated with the advancement means (58, 59, 60, 61) and can be actuated by actuation means (71) between a position for receiving the mattresses that arrive from the lower bordering assembly (3) and a position for overturning the mattresses when the movable elements of the chute (6) are in the open condition. |
