<p>A cylindrical or prismatic honeycomb catalyst carrier is pressed from poorly crystallised boehmite, possibly with the addn. of a moulding auxiliary and an agent for improving porosity. The carrier is dried, baked at 900-1300 degrees C., pref. 1000-1200 degrees C., impregnated with a soln. oif a catalytically active metal (Pt, Pd, etc.) salt and calcined at 700-1000 degrees C.</p> |
