<p>An automatic pan winding attachment which can be fitted to a wool or cotton carding machine consists of a weighing pan across the width of the machine, which moves up and down in vertical slides, depending on the weight of material. There are feelers and/or light cells on the dial of the scales which are operated, when the desired weight has been reached. These then operate a circuit and the weighing pan is tipped at the same time as a deflecting baffle holds back the incoming material. An attachment can be fitted to the dial scale which slows down the machine before the pan weigher, and before the full weight has been reached.</p> |
