<p>Appts. for removing contained gas from a liquid, comprising a liquid reservoir with one or more of its walls formed as weirs, is constructed so that the weirs present an irregular surface to the liquid flow. Specif., >=2 weirs, set close together and consisting of perforated or net-like material, or of comb-shaped structure, are used. The weirs may be removable and fixed for example to the top end of one wall of the vessel. Materials which may be deaerated in this way include organo-sols, rubbers, lacquers, printing inks, plastisols and emulsions.</p> |
