Multifunctional gasoline additives - comprising polybutene and satd amine phosphates

Multifunctional additive combination for hydrocarbon fuels (esp. gasoline) comprises (a) 1 pt. of a salt derived from a 4-10C aliphatic amine (in which each nitrogen-bonded carbon atom is saturated) and a 8-16C alkyl orthophosphate; (b) 1-50 wt.pts. of a hydrocarbon soluble liquid polybutene or number ave. mol. wt. 400-3000 and viscosity 500-900000 SUS at 37.8 degrees C, 60-20000 SUS at 98.9 degrees; and opt. (c) a minor proportion of a hydrocarbon solvent to make compsn. easier to handle. Additives inhibit carburettor icing, corrosion of metals, carburettor fouling etc.
