Nuclear reactor coolant pipe heating system - by passing uninsulated pipes through gas fired rooms with internal insulation

Pipes, tanks and heat exchangers of sodium-cooled nuclear reactors must be heated when the sodium has become frozen after stoppages. These components are left uninsulated in rooms which can be gas heated as a whole. The rooms themselves are heat insulated around the inner walls; a sheet metal sheat on the inside can collect any leaking coolant.
