The package on a winding machine is pressed against a constant speed driving roller by a pressure roller which is suspended on two pendulum type arms. Pressure is applied by two compressed air cylinders the first at constant pressure, the second pulling slightly against the first to give a variable pressure as the package builds up. The system is suitable for winding longer transverse packages. |
