1309880 Track links DIEHL 16 Nov 1971 [25 Nov 1970] 53099/71 Heading B7H A track link is provided at the groundside thereof with a recess 6 and/or gripper ledges 4, 5 for increasing the grip in snowy, muddy or clayey ground and an aperture extending from the ground side to the running wheel side of the link is filled by a rubber elastic block 3. The rubber block 3, which is vulcanized to the link body 1 is convexly arched at the running wheel side of the link so that when rolled over by the running wheel 7 the block 3 is pressed into the recess 6 so that an obstruction, such as a compressed ice block 8, breaks and falls out of the recess. The ledges 4, 5 may serve to receive a running pad (not shown) in the case of road travel. |
