<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system which has a time shortening means for shortening the amount of time required for acquiring at least all image data necessary for printing, printing equipment, an imaging device, and a printing method. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system is equipped with a connecting means 104-5 for electronically and directly connecting an imaging device dev1 and the printing equipment dev2 together.
