Preferably the fuel composition comprises 1-3 part by weight cement, e.g. Portland cement, 6-13 parts by weight carbonaceous material, e.g. petroleum coke, lignite, gilsonite, subbituminous coal and carbonaceous materials resulting from the hydrothermal coking of organic wastes, and optionally 1-3 parts by weight of a limestone bearing material containing preferably at least 80% calcium carbonate. A flux, e.g. silica, may additionally be added. The fuel mixture should preferably be dried by steaming for one to several days before use.</p> |
