1503774 Enolester epoxides SNAMPROGETTI SpA 15 May 1975 [17 May 1974] 20729/75 Heading C2C A process for the preparation of an enolester epoxide having the formula wherein R, R 1 and R 2 are hydrogen or hydrocarbyl radicals and R 3 is a hydrocarbyl radical which comprises reacting an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of an organic acid R 3 COOH with a compound of the formula wherein X is halogen. The reaction is suitably effected in a solvent at a temperature of from - 30‹ to + 70‹ C. under superatmospheric pressure. |
