Pedal boat of high stability - has floats joined by deck supporting paddle wheel driven via toothed belt

The craft consists of a pair of floats (8) made from highly buoyant material such as expanded plystyrene. The floats are joined together by a deck (1) which carries a reclining seat (13) and the pedal mechanism. The pedal mechanism has a paddle wheel (6) driven by a toothed belt (5) from a crank and pedal (4). The craft is fitted with two safety side rails (11). The craft is steered by a rudder (9) mounted centrally underneath and controlled by a tiller handle protruding at the side of the craft.
