The parachute is housed inside a main sack (1) with an auxiliary pocket (11) which forms a compartment for the top part which is automatically opened as the parachute is used. This pocket has an opening (14) across the inside of the sack, facing the bottom of the sack which has a main opening (3) for the initial release of the parachute. A closure member actuated by the opening of the parachute includes a breakable line (16) attached to pulling members (19) attached to the bottom of the parachute. The pocket is formed by a sleeve fixed by its edges to the inside of the sack, and the breakable line (16) is a halyard held by buckles (13) at the opening of the pocket. The pulling members are strips with buckles through which the halyard passes.
