The access door of the construction vehicle is made in two sections hinged about a horizontal axis. The door is swung upwards about the top horizontal axis to open into the folded position. A cable drive (11) is linked between the bottom section and a small cam lever (14) near the pivot hinge, to automatically fold the sections as the door is swung upwards. The vehicle can be operated with the door open so that the operator can enter and leave the vehicle during working, with a min. of delay.
