<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer-dispersing agent and a liquid-based ink for ink jet recording which contains the polymer-dispersing agent, has excellent gloss and is sufficiently stable in storage. <P>SOLUTION: A polymer-dispersing agent comprising a vinyl polymer having a constituent unit represented by general formula (1) is prepared, and a liquid-based ink for ink jet recording is prepared by mixing the polymer-dispersing agent, water and a coloring agent. In general formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is hydrogen or methyl group, M<SB>1</SB>and M<SB>2</SB>are each hydrogen or cation, p is a number of 2 to 6, q is a number of 1 to 4, r is a number of 2 to 10, and s is a number of 1 to 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
