The invention relates to a control device of a milking pulsator for implementation of the compressed air stimulation method during the entire milking period. Known switching devices cannot be used in pipeline milking systems, as such devices are too heavy for mobile use. A central control system which was exhibited at LFM 1980 is suitable for this purpose, as it supplies the milking system with compressed air and/or air at atmospheric pressure at intervals. This is uneconomic for relatively large systems, however, because the capacity of the pipes to be filled and emptied at intervals is too large. The object of the invention is to generate the exchange of compressed air and air at atmospheric pressure at intervals at the milking point, in order only to use as much compressed air as is necessary for supplying the teat cups. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that an on-off valve supplies compressed air and/or air at atmospheric pressure to each alternating-phase pulsator, which in its turn delivers compressed air and a vacuum and/or air at atmospheric pressure and a vacuum to the teat cup clusters in an alternating manner and at normal frequency. The increase in the weight of the teat cup cluster resulting from this is negligible. <IMAGE>
